स्वातंत्र्य मिळवण्यासाठी अनेकांनी बलिदान दिल्यानंतर स्वातंत्र्य मिळाले आहे. मात्र, आज स्वातंत्र्याचा 77 वा वर्धापन दिन साजरा करत असताना खरंच स्वातंत्र्य उरलं आहे का? असा प्रश्न राष्ट्रवादी काँग्रेसचे प्रतोद तथा नेते जितेंद्र आव्हाड (NCP MLA Dr Jitendra Awhad) यांनी उपस्थित केला आहे. याला सध्या देशांमध्ये आणि महाराष्ट्रात असलेली राजकीय परिस्थिति आणि सरकार कारणीभूत आहेत, अशी टीका जितेंद्र आव्हाड यांनी केली आहे.
जितेंद्र आव्हाड म्हणाले की, ज्याप्रमाणे मणिपूर पेटवले (Manipur burning) गेले, त्या ठिकाणी महिलांवर अत्याचार झाला. तरी देखील स्थानिक सरकार आणि केंद्र सरकार यावर काहीही बोलायला तयार नाही. तर दुसरीकडे महाराष्ट्रात देखील अशाच प्रकारे वातावरण निर्माण करण्याचा प्रयत्न सुरू आहे. आज या देशात द्वेषाचे राजकारण (Politics of hate) एवढ्या मोठ्या प्रमाणात सुरू आहे की माणुसकी उरणार की नाही, असा प्रश्न पडला आहे. हे स्वातंत्र्य टिकवण्यासाठी आपल्याला आपली लोकशाही टिकवावी लागेल. सध्या सर्वात मोठा हल्ला हा लोकशाहीवर होत आहे, अशी टीका आव्हाड यांनी केली.
ते पुढे म्हणाले, आजच पंतप्रधान मोदी (PM Narendra Modi’s speech on Independence day) यांनी म्हटले आहे की मी पुन्हा येईल. लोकशाही टिकवायची असेल तर आपल्याला यांना पुन्हा सत्तेवर येण्यापासून रोखले पाहिजे, तरच लोकशाही टिकवता येईल. महाराष्ट्र कधीही दिल्लीसमोर झुकला नाही आणि झुकणार देखील नाही. जेव्हा – केव्हा हिमालय अडचणीत आला त्यावेळी सह्याद्रीच मदतीला धावून गेला आहे. शरद पवार (Sharad Pawar) यांनी स्थापन केलेला राष्ट्रवादी काँग्रेस पक्ष हा महाराष्ट्राच्या तळागाळात आहे. महाराष्ट्रातील जनता शरद पवार यांच्या पाठीशी आहे, यात माझ्या मनात कोणतीही शंका नाही आहे. लोकशाहीच्या शत्रूला (enemy of democracy) पराभूत करण्यासाठी आतापासूनच तयारीला लागायला पाहिजे, असेही देखील जितेंद्र आव्हाड यांनी यावेळी म्हटले.
ठाण्यातील कळवा येथे जिल्हा रुग्णालयात (Kalwa Hospital death incident) आतापर्यंत 27 रुग्ण दगावले आहेत. मात्र राज्य सरकार यावर कुठलीही ठोस भूमिका घ्यायला तयार नाही आहे. रुग्णालयातील बेजबाबदार व्यक्तींवर तातडीने कारवाई करण्यात यावी, अशी मागणी आम्ही मुख्यमंत्री एकनाथ शिंदे (CM Eknath Shinde) यांच्याकडे केली. मुख्यमंत्री ठाण्याचे असल्याने मी त्यांना ठाण्यातील एक नागरिक या नात्याने विनंती करतो की त्यांनी हलगर्जीपणा करणाऱ्या डॉक्टरांवर तातडीने कारवाई करावी, असे देखील जितेंद्र आव्हाड यांनी म्हटले आहे.
